1. Polypropylene spunbond fabric: This material can be treated with antibacterial, antistatic, etc., to make antibacterial protective clothing, antistatic protective clothing, etc. Polypropylene spunbond fabric can replace traditional cotton fabric. Compared with traditional cotton protective clothing, polypropylene spunbond protective clothing is undoubtedly a big improvement. Because of its low price and one-time use, it can greatly reduce the cross-infection rate, and has been widely promoted abroad for a long time after it was first launched. However, the antistatic water pressure of this material is relatively low, and the blocking efficiency of virions is also relatively poor, so it can only be used as ordinary protective equipment such as sterile surgical gowns and sterilized cloths.
2. Polyester fiber and wood pulp composite water-cloth: this material feels soft, close to traditional textiles, and can be treated with three antibodies (anti-alcohol, anti-blood, anti-oil) and antistatic, antibacterial, etc., and can be disinfected with "Y" rays, which is a better material for medical protective clothing. However, it also has a relatively low antistatic water pressure and a relatively poor barrier efficiency against virions, so it is not an ideal protective clothing material.
3. Polypropylene spunbond-meltblown-spunbond composite nonwovens (i.e. SMS or SMMS):
Meltblown cloth is characterized by fine fiber diameter, large surface area, fluffy, soft, good drape, small filtration resistance, high filtration efficiency, and strong antistatic water pressure ability, but low strength and poor wear resistance, which limits the development of its application field to a considerable extent. The spunbond fabric has a higher fiber density, and the fiber web is composed of continuous filaments, and its breaking strength and elongation are much larger than those of melt-blown cloth, which can make up for the shortcomings of melt-blown cloth. SMS products not only have the inherent high wear resistance of the spunbond layer, but also improve the filtration efficiency, barrier performance, particle penetration resistance, hydrostatic pressure resistance, shielding and appearance uniformity of the product, so as to achieve good filtration, liquid resistance and opacity. This material has the following excellent properties: (1) uniform and beautiful appearance; (2) High anti-hydrostatic ability: (3) Soft feel; (4) Good air permeability; (5) Good filtration effect; (6) Strong acid and alkali resistance. In addition, SMS nonwovens can also be treated with three antibodies (anti-alcohol, anti-blood, anti-oil) and antistatic, antibacterial, anti-aging, etc., to meet the needs of different uses. Therefore, SMS nonwovens have been widely used at home and abroad to make high-end surgical gowns.
